Hal Smith has over 30 years of experience developing technology based solutions for national security, intelligence, and military customers, and ten years in the telecommunications industry delivering wireless, bypass, and OSS solutions for government and commercial clients. He is currently Chief Operating Officer of Xator Corporation, a high-growth national security solutions business.
Mr. Smith has served on several National Security Advisory Boards, including member and Chairman of the CIA External Advisory Board, the DNI Strategic Studies Group, and the University of Maryland National Security Advisory Board. He has served as a Director of Telcordia Technologies, SSDS, Next Century Corporation, and Xator Corporation.
Previously Mr.Smith was President and Chief Operating Officer of Telcordia Technologies, President and Chief Operating Officer of SSDS, Managing Director and National Security Lead Executive of Accenture Federal Services, and Associate Deputy Director for Technology of the National Security Agency.
Mr. Smith is a Life Member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
